a journey to winterlands...

Its been a week since i landed here in Varanasi... and let me tell you its really cold here....
I guess the winter was waiting for me to show his furious powers... and i agree he succeeded....
I remember i was with Ashwini and Mandeep ( my friends from Bangalore) in one and only one train from Bangalore to Patna The Great SANGHAMITRA EXPRESS... great because what ever the case may be it will drop u at Mugalsarai before 8 am...
We all were talking about the winter which generally occupies whole north in the month of Jan... from last two years the winter had been disappointing in the north... so we along with our fellow passengers were busy in criticizing the cycle of nature... we talked how we made fun of last WINTER  by wearing just on one sweater... we talked how we ate Ice-creams on a row... we talked how we went for a drive in mid night of last winter... we talked and talked and left no point to criticize and made fun of winters...
i believe the winter was listening and he showed his glimpses at Katni (railway station)...it was cold there and we three musketeers ( Ashwini, Mandeep and I) started to sense the worst which was ahead...
Ashwini and Mandeep were with me till Allahabad... at 2 am in the morning Allahabad came... it was shivering cold with fog everywhere... we all were reduced to bones...
They left and now it was my turn to leave train... it was my turn to leave the AC compartment and to face the real world.. the experience was horrible... I salute M.S. Ramaiah Jacket that protected me to a 20 km journey to my home from the severe cold waves. After experiencing this i swear never to talk against the forces of Nature...  what so ever... they are great and invincible.
But i think that winter has not shown any mercy on me... the mercury is still dipping. Well i am at my home enjoying ALOO-MATAR and CHUDA-MATAR... the gourmet choice in eastern UP in winter seasons...
Now i think i am ready to face this winter...
and waiting for mercury to rise and ice to melt...
